We are looking for a Python Engineer responsible for managing back-end services and the interchange of data between the server and the users. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the client sides. Therefore, a basic understanding of API technologies is necessary as well. Currently, our back-end system need some knowledge about using FFMPEG for video processing and understanding about running long processing processes and keep it stable, even few minutes downtime or interruption may not be acceptable.
Your Skills and Experience
Must haves:
- Strong knowledge of at least one Python web frameworks(especially Django is a plus)
- Understanding the fully synchronous behavior of Python
- Understanding of at least few Python design patterns
- Understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Knowledge of object oriented Python programming
- Familiarity with SQL databases and their declarative query languages
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Experience working with FFMPEG in Linux.
Nice to haves:
- Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
- Creating database schemes that represent and support business processes
- Understanding CI/CD is a plus.
- Understanding Agile process is a plus.
- Deeply understanding about video codec or video streaming is a very big advantage.
- Understanding Docker Swarm or Kubernetes is a plus.
